When you register for Startup Day, we collect:

• Your name, email address, company name, and job title
• Your LinkedIn or other profile URL
• Your interests and preferences for event activities
• Accessibility and dietary needs (optional)

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Process your event registration and tickets
• Send you event-related communications (confirmations, updates, reminders)
• Match you with relevant event activities you opted into (advisory rooms, co-founder match)
• Improve the event experience

We do not sell your personal information. If you opt in to our email list during registration, we may share it with select investors and sponsors. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment card details are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We only retain your order amount and a transaction reference for our records.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to manage your session and prevent fraud. We do not use third-party advertising.

Data Retention

We retain your registration data for up to five years after the event for record-keeping purposes.

Photo & Video

Startup Day 2026 will be photographed and recorded. By attending, you consent to the capture and use of your image and likeness.

Photos and videos from the event may be used on the Startup Day website, social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and others), future event promotion, and shared with event sponsors.

Opting Out

If you prefer not to appear in official photos or videos, request a red lanyard at registration. Our photo and video team will make reasonable efforts to exclude attendees wearing red lanyards, but we cannot guarantee complete exclusion in crowded areas such as the expo hall or happy hour.

Attendee Photography

You're welcome to take photos and short clips during sessions and share them on social media. We encourage it! Please do not record full-length sessions. If someone is wearing a red lanyard, do not photograph or record them without their explicit consent.

Takedown Requests

If you appear in published content and would like it removed, email startupday@seattleflow.org and we'll honor your request.
